Project Overview
The Jenkins Pavilion, originally opened in 2009, has undergone a £5 million transformation to become the new Sandy Leisure and Sports Centre. The redevelopment included a two-storey extension and full refurbishment, providing modern leisure facilities for the local community.
The Challenge
The project required a high-performance, visually striking, and low-maintenance façade that would enhance the building’s modern design while ensuring long-term durability in all weather conditions.
The Solution
FGF Limited supplied Trespa Meteon high-pressure laminate (HPL) cladding in two sophisticated grey tones—Zinc Grey (Satin) and Slate Grey (Satin)—to achieve a sleek, contemporary aesthetic. The 10mm panels were installed using the TS700 fixing system on a vertical aluminium sub-frame, ensuring a robust and weather-resistant façade.

The transformed Sandy Leisure and Sports Centre now features:
